Matomo Analytics

Web Analytics

We use the web analytics program Matomo (formerly Piwik) to collect statistical data on user behaviour. This program uses cookies and JavaScript to collect various information on your computer and automatically transmits it to us. Every time you visit our website, our system collects the following data and information from the computer system of the calling computer:

  • IP address, anonymized by shortening it
  • Two cookies to distinguish different visitors (pk_id and pk_sess)
  • Previously visited URL (referrer), if transmitted by browser
  • Name and version of the operating system
  • Name, version and language setting of the browser

Additionally, if JavaScript is activated:

  • URLs visited on this website
  • times of the page views
  • Type of HTML requests
  • Screen resolution and color depth
  • Browser supported techniques and formats (e.g. Cookies, Java, Flash, PDF, WindowsMedia, QuickTime, Realplayer, Director, SilverLight, Google Gears)

The storage and evaluation of the data takes place exclusively on a central server, which is operated by BKA.li.

The legal basis for the processing of users' personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The processing of the users' personal data enables us to analyse the usage behaviour of our users. By evaluating the data obtained, we are in a position to compile information on the use of the individual components of our website. This helps us to constantly improve our websites and their user-friendliness. Our legitimate interest in the processing of data in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO also lies in these purposes. By anonymizing the IP address, the interest of users in the protection of their personal data is sufficiently taken into account.

The data will be deleted after the final annual sums for the access statistics have been calculated.

Of course you have the possibility to opt-out to the data collection. Activate the setting Do-Not-Track or Do not follow in your browser. As long as this setting is active, our central Matomo server will not save any data from you.
Important: The Do-Not-Track instruction is usually only valid for the one device and the one browser in which you activate the setting. If you use several devices/browsers, you have to activate Do-Not-Track everywhere separately.

Personal user profiles are not created.

It appears you have deactived JavaScript in your browser. This feature is only available with JavaScript turned on. If you don’t want your data to be collected, you can still turn on Do Not Track in your browser which is a general setting and is being respected by our Matomo installation.

The use of the web analysis software Matomo has the nice side effect that idiots who believe the nutbags, who mark a web analysis tool as an IP tracker and throw around terms like systemintegrationcomputerscientist, stay away from the bottom up. I don't want to have any post here from assholes who think they have any idea just because they managed to install piHole on a Raspberry PI, but then write down their stupidity in public and manipulate dump lemmings they've already wrapped around their fingers with more lies, but, should the comment function be used, an adult discussion culture without hogwash, false accusations and stupid comments!
