This contribution describes the events on Marpenoth 2, 1488 DR from the view of Nimri

I am glad that I did not stay longer. When he started to undress the last pieces from my pretty one in front of the fireplace, I wanted to kill him. Instead, I spent my time with Sanise in the tavern. We've stolen some nuts from the storage room and throw them at the dancers who wobbled around the bar to amuse the guests. Or at least something they called dancing with their scanty clothes.
She came rushing into the room in the morning, not even wearing her dress, but the clothes of this human. Actually I wanted to run up to her for stealing a kiss, but there was this smell of this human all over her, which disgusted me deeply. Even after she slipped into her armor, he was everywhere. Not so obvious anymore, but ... eww. I still crawled up to her face and tried to lick the smell away at least from there, but she only giggled.
She hectically said something about leaving while she packed. ›Yes, away from here and this boy.‹ I thought.

At the edge of the forest she turned back to the city and sighed and when Sanise called out »You like this boy« I wanted to scream, but the only thing I could get out was the croak like a dying pig. Although I devoured the cricket, which my pretty one hold out to me, immediately, I tried to get used to the thought that she had gotten involved with this human and then liked him too.

When we went into the woods, a monster jumped on Naldela, tore her to the ground and I was thrown into a hedge from which I tried in vain to free myself but only Sanise could get me out of my predicament. Since we both felt useless in a fight, we stopped at the edge and hoped that Naldela could kill this monster.

»Go Nali, finish it off« Sanise shouted when the cattle stormed towards Naldela again
»Just hel…« it came back incomplete. I was shocked to see that the monster sat on her, bit into her shoulder and tore out a large piece of flesh. When I wanted to scream again, I noticed that I obviously gave Sanise a shock and shot small lightning bolts at the ghoul. The young Tiefling apparently saw the shock as an impulse to get involved and jumped with me on her shoulder on the ghoul's back, holding on to her spikes. While Sanise fidgeted on the back, I climbed into the ghouls face and tried to bite her eyes out and the ghoul left Naldela, stood up and tried to shake us off. ›I saved my pretty one‹ I thought. Maybe a bit too early.
Something seemed to hurt him, because he started screaming threateningly, caught me with his claws and threw me against a tree. I shook myself for a moment, looked at Naldela and had to watch the ghoul bite her throat and ram its claws into her body. Although I wanted to run to her immediately, I just couldn't move. My heart felt like it was about to stop, and I could only watch as Sanise picked up Naldela's staff and rammed it into the back of the beast, which let go of her with Naldela's throat in its mouth.
I stared, transfixed, at the lifeless body whose head was turned toward me and whose eyes were still open. My gaze tunneled. Everything around it went black and the sounds dimmed.

When Ykril took her into his arms, my view got back normal. Where did he suddenly come from? He held her head to his chest, cried and seemed to murmur incomprehensible things to himself. When I decided to run to her, he began to glow and yellowish luminous, incorporeal wings seemed to spread out from him. ›What by the gods is he?‹ I thought as I was blinded by a glaring light that still blinded me through my eyelids. I shook myself briefly and when I could see again, I saw that Naldela seemed to be moving again. No matter what happened, no matter what he is, even if he smells and steals all the kisses, he saved my pretty one and sprinted towards her, at the same time as Sanise.
